Tomorrow is Take Our Kids to
Work Day.
The Take Our Kids to Work Day
is an annual national program of the “Learning Partnership” in which grade 9
students are hosted by parents, friends and/or relatives at workplaces across
the country. The Take Our Kids to Work
Day enhances the student’s understanding of the realities of working life and
supports them in their exploration and planning of their career paths. It
helps students make more informed choices.
Please inform the office if your son or daughter will be participating by calling the attendance office at 519.735.7883.
If your child will not be participating, their teachers will be waiting for them with open arms!!

REEL Canada - Tuesday, November 27 Tomorrow, we are once again providing an engaging educational opportunity for our students through our participation in the REEL Canada Film Festival. We are screening four films (two each for our intermediate and senior students): Sharkwater; One Week; Bon Cop, Bad Cop; and Indian Horse. Outlines and trailers for all of these films can be found at www.reelcanada.ca. Some of the films discuss mature themes and/or feature mature scenes and language. As described on their website, "Canadian films are the stories we tell about ourselves – they open the door to so many conversations about place, nation, identity, and what it means to be Canadian. REEL CANADA promotes the power and diversity of Canadian film and encourages this on-going conversation." Our entire school will be participating in this educational event.
